Workout music has been found to be helpful in improving the mood and zeal while performing exercises and it becomes quite evident by using it properly. Most of the people do claim that the music itself seems to be so motivating that they are compelled to do exercises much longer than they would have otherwise, never done. In spite of all this, the workout music may also have some negative side and if not taken care of, may ruin the whole purpose of using this. I’ve only been doing the Brazilian butt lift workout for a few days now, but I can already feel more energized. Power 90 Extreme (P90X) is a exercise system developed by Tony Horton along with Beach Body team – Carl Daikeler (CEO), Steve Edwards (Fitness Advisor), Carrie Wyatt (nutritionist), Ned Farr (Creative Director) and Mason Bendewald (workout video director) of MEGA MACE productions in 2003. It is one among the six different exercise programs developed by Mr. Horton, namely Power 90, Power 90 Master Series, P90X, P90X+, P90X One-on-One, and P90X:MC2. It is a 90-day home exercise program ie, it extends over 13 weeks. It makes use of a concept called muscle confusion, which means exercising your body in a way that your body never becomes familiar with one type of workout, reaching a plateau level, as a result your body never gets tired. It is considered as a muscle building system rather than a weight loss program and it gives more focus on the abdominal regions. In P90X workout, Horton uses a combination of different exercise techniques like yoga, stretching, plyometrics, cardio, and strength training (for which a martial arts form called Kenp is used). It also consists of a nutrition guide, fitness plan, a 12 DVD series and a calendar. An individual can select any one of the 3 phases of this program ie, Lean phase, Classic phase and the Doubles phase depending upon their goal. Among these phases, the Classic phase is considered to be the most popular one. The nutrition plan of the P90X workout consists of three different phases. They are the Fat shredder or the First phase, the Energy booster and the Endurance maximiser or the athlete’s phase. The first phase makes use of a high protein and carbohydrates diet, which makes the body lean. It is a 30-day phase. In the next phase, the diet is organised with an increase in carbohydrates so that the body can keep up with the intense exercise routine. The third phase is designed to make the body equal to an athlete’s body with a high carbohydrates diet. The main advantage of this exercise program is that you can get back in shape, if you stick to the plan less than four months without using much equipments and at your convenience. They require do equipments like a mat, weights, a chair etc. But before ordering the P90X program, you have to pass the P90X test. It can be very challenging for a weak willed person because of the rigorous work out session and nutrition plans. But the advantages over weigh the disadvantages. So far it has been considered as the one of the most successful work out programs.
